I used Energizer 2500mAh batteries. I spaced my shots, (Not in rapid succession.) After about six to eight shots the SB900 would overheat and shut down. This continued throughout the night for the first three sets of batteries. Upon inserting the forth set of batteries the unit functioned like a dream. I am at a loss as to if it is a problem with the batteries or the flash, as I only purchased the SB900 the day before the wedding and haven't had the time to test it since.
